Event:

Impromptu Film Festival

Sunday, July 6, 2008

Great Films, Great Initiative.

The Impromptu Film Festival is designed to celebrate getting films seen and off the ground. The festival aims to promote filmmakers with future projects in development, by showcasing what they’ve created in the past.

Invited to this year’s festival are NFB‘s 2007 Academy Award winning short The Danish Poet, NFB‘s 2008 Academy Award nominee Madame Tutli-Putli, and Leo Award winner for Best Short Film and 2009 Academy Award shortlisted Centigrade.

With international submissions, this one day event will be held at the Vancouver International Film Centre in their state of the art 175 seat facility. Meet the filmmakers, see storyboards of a feature film project in development and bid on great silent auction items.

The proceeds from the festival help fund pre-production costs of independent films (up to $2500) and create a film scholarship for up and coming filmmakers.

All who attend will receive a complimentary 10 day pass to the Steve Nash Sports Club.
